Back On Track

Just thought I would drop a quick line to let everyone know that the surgery went really well. Pathology confirms that all the cancer was removed, so a big thank you to my surgeon. A little stiff (and not in a good way) but I hope to be back writing really soon.

I didn't widely publicise the fact but thank you to all the well-wishes, they meant a lot.

Tis the Season

December... crazy time.

I'm not sure entirely how much time I am going to be able to devote to my writing this month, well at least before the break. I've been a little fractious of late and I know it's probably not something everyone wants to hear but hopefully I'll be able to pump out some interesting things sooner rather than later.

Fingers crossed.

SPS Update

Well I have uploaded a bunch of chapters to SPS 22-28. December is forecast as a slow month, until after Christmas when I should have a little more time but still, I hope it does not take as long to get updates happening as it has over the last month or so.

Extremely busy schedule, coupled with computer crashes (devastating to spend a session writing and have it all disappear) and internet outages has made for some decidely grumpy moments. Looking forward to a brighter December.

Most Frustrating Chapter Evah!

Well finally managed to get CH17 of MVO up. Crazy work schedule, comp death and internet outages all kinda conspired against me. It's finally finished, fingers crossed that the next chapter won't take so long. While I have the chance I shall pop up a couple of chapters of some other stuff as well.

Absence makes...

Crazily busy couple of weeks have really prevented me from getting almost any writing done. My muse has not deserted me, time is just against me at the moment. In the next few days I hope to have chapters for all three stories posted.

Patience is a virtue and all that jazz.

MVO Chapter 16

Chapter 16 of My Very Own is up. It's long but let me know what you think.

I do, on occasion, let slip a few things about how I write, but I'm not really interested in delving into or analysing exactly how I write. I find it boring to talk about. One question I will answer is: What music do I listen to when writing?

None. I would find that far too distracting. Maybe if I could string together a series of long instrumentals like from Godspeed You Black Emperor, or Surface of Eceyon, or even the soundtrack to Dead Man (which I really must download one of these days), then maybe. But I don't really think so.

Hope you enjoy this latest instalment.

SPS Chapter 18 Fixed

Thanks to the man from Versailles for letting me know of the problem with chapter 18 of Sarah Porter's Schooldays. Somehow a few paragraphs got chopped from the beginning. All fixed now.

See, this is why I need you guys and gals :)

In the Schoolyard

Well, no MVO update this week but I have managed to proof 7 chapters of Sarah Porter's Schooldays - 15-21 are now up.

Chapter 16 of MVO is coming along though, and chapter 25 of Pig is almost finished. Hopefully next week will be a big week, though don't reach for the pitchforks and torches if not.

Hey Everyone

Well chapter 15 of MVO is posted. I had tried to get a bit of proofing of SPS done but I tended more towards writing this week. I shall endeavour to get through the slightly more tedious work of proofreading over the coming days.

Chapter 15 is a bit of a rollercoaster ride, but hopefully one of those rides that re-invigorates the whole idea of a small metal cart rocketing you around on a rail at a hundred miles an hour, doing loop-de-loops and threatening to end your life at every turn and not one of those sad rides that makes you want to swear off theme parks for good.

There is one section in the chapter that I would like feedback on specifically. There is a one-way conversation buried in there somewhere and I am totally unsure of how to write something like that. Let me know if it worked or if anyone knows an alternate way of writing something like that - I'm all ears.

I know, I know, I missed the update at the library. To be honest though I am a little miffed with the whole random way things are done there. For a site that exists because of the donations of the contributors it is pretty shabbily run and said contributors are treated pretty badly. I will submit a big bunch of chapters for all three stories to hopefully make up for the missed update (though when the fuck that will be is anyone's guess, when Torq has a day off from his almost permanent state of fuckedoffedness maybe).

Haha, ok back down with the plebs now, soapbox to one side, feeling the warmth of the sunbaked street radiating through the toughened skin of my sole. Rant over.

Enjoy and thanks for waiting patiently for my latest effort. I can only hope it meets with expectations, as I feel them keenly - the fragile ego of the artist (too pretentious?) never quite rests comfortably.

MVO Update

Chapter 14 of MVO is up, as well as a couple of SPS. I will hopefully have a few more chapters of Sarah Porter up over the next couple of days.

A few little answers

Chapter 13 of My Very Own is up, it's short but it took me a while to write, just had a few hectic weeks and not a lot of time to devote to much. Chapter 14 isn't far off so hopefully you won't have to wait as long again.

I've had a few different questions asked over the last couple of weeks and thought it might be a good time to clear a few things up:

  • Yes I am looking for a submissive at the moment
  • No I am not looking for anything virtual. I'm not interested in anything long distance or strictly online. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on point of view, I am a very tactile person, I really need to feel and touch and be right there with the person I am with, I just don't have the time or inclination for an online relationship that has no intention of moving forward
  • My published stories were written in this order: Pentonbridge Pig, Sarah Porter's Schooldays and then My Very Own. Pig was started many years ago but I took a long hiatus from writing. I started writing again this year. I wrote 39 chapters of SPS and then jumped on to MVO.
  • No, none of my stories are being abandoned. I shall be doing my best to juggle my writing and keep them all going at once.
And a few personal ones:

  • I am male *gasp* - sorry but I don't get this one, I just pay attention, I notice and absorb things, I love women and love to study them, it's how I know so much about them, but really any guy should :)
  • I am Australian, no we don't spell funny we spell correctly!
Well I hope that has cleared up a few of the questions that I get asked consistently.

MVO Chapter 12

Hi Everyone

Chapter 12 of My Very Own is up, along with a few chapters of both my other stories. I haven't had a lot of time to write lately. I really need a block of time for writing, but I can proofread when I have ten minutes here or there so I am slowly getting through the backlog of stuff.

Feedback on chapter 12 would be greatly appreciated. The writing process was a little disjointed and I hope that hasn't come across too much. Let me know if it did and I shall see if a revisiting is in order.

Chapter 11 and Story Requests

Hey Everyone

Chapter 11 of My very Own is up and yes, it is long. I couldn't really find a natural break :)

I haven't had a lot of time to write lately, and new chapters might be a little slower in coming as I am currently house-hunting. A lot of my time is spent looking at houses, both online and in person but I think I am close now, narrowing down. Once the process is over and I'm settled, things should get back to normal.

Thanks for all the feedback, it really is important. Knowing there are people not only reading, but hanging out for new chapters, is an amazing feeling.
I have received quite a few requests to write stories for people. I would love to make everyone happy and write them all. Alas I simply don't have the time. With the projects I already have running, and a few new stories in various stages of development, I can't make any promises. That doesn't mean I won't get around to them, so don't worry about sending the requests through. If I like the idea, or feel I can do it justice, I take notes, work an outline and pop it in my project folder. Who knows when the fancy for that particular story will take me and I will work it through.

It is amazing that you think of me for these projects, it really is. Even more than a nice review, such requests let me know I am doing something right.

Storm before the Calm

Two new chapters of My Very Own are up now.

Keep the feedback coming. It has been great so far. Thanks a lot to those who have noticed mistakes, I appreciate the help. I am trying not to spend too much time proofing, as it means less time for writing :)

Things are going to get pretty busy soon so I am hoping to get a few more chapters up this month, as well as a bunch proofed for my other two stories, so when the time I have to write drops for a bit, there will still be something coming through.

Thanks again for reading.

Thanks so Much

I have to say a big thank you to everyone for your support and kind words. It's really special to get feedback like that. It truly makes me want to do better, to keep the chapters flowing and try and stay true to the story and my style.

Of course if you would like to review any story at bdsmlibrary I would be thankful for that as well. It is one of the reasons I chose to stick with the site. The reviews are important in helping people make decisions, to find the stories they think they will enjoy and it's becoming all the more important these days with the ever increasing demands on our time.

Anyway, thanks again and I will try and keep my nose to the grindstone for you all :)

Wednesday, 17 August 2011

All my stories will eventually be posted on their own blogs and linked here, about the only way I could format it the way I wanted.

If anyone can help with how to use a blog, I would appreciate the help.
